![]() ![]() The article reconsiders the conflict management and conflict resolution debate and indicts former colonial powers and powerful organisations for maintaining colonial-style approaches to African conflicts at the expense of a desire to address the fundamental issues that divide the parties to the different conflicts. It claims that conflict in Africa does not always stem primarily from crises of national governance and the failure of governmental institutions in African countries to mediate conflict, and revisits the colonial factor as the root of many conflicts in Africa. Abstractīy engaging the colonial factor in African conflicts, this article seeks to understand the ineffectiveness of efforts at conflict management in overcoming the disasters that brought the conflicts to the African continent. ![]() Dr Fonkem Achankeng I is Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Services and Educational Leadership at the College of Education and Human Services, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. ![]() Jacob, armed with only a stun baton, fights to escape from his wrongful, inexplicable imprisonment. The pitch for The Callisto Protocol is an enticing one: Creators behind the Dead Space series of sci-fi survival horror games would finally make a spiritual successor to that franchise, nearly 10 years into its dormancy at Electronic Arts. "Console editions of System Shock will release on PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox One and Series S|X in due course more details on this when we have them."Īs far as we can tell, the developer hasn't changed its messaging around the console release since this update, and it seems that they're waiting to get the PC version out of the door before committing to any sort of timeline for an Xbox and PlayStation launch. Back then, it reiterated that an Xbox version was coming, but they were still yet to lock down a console release date. Heading over to the game's Kickstarter page, the team provided us with a small update on the matter when it announced its PC launch plans back in March. Subscribe to Nintendo Life on YouTube Jim Norman, Staff Writer For a PS4 game, it really is an almost overwhelmingly engrossing experience one that not even some PS5 games can match at this stage. Over on the PS5, I'm still playing Red Dead Redemption 2, buying myself some pretty hats, eating tins of beans, the usual. I love it so much - it's comfortably the best in the series, and it does honestly make me question why Nintendo would bother bringing the second entry to Switch when a superior option is right there, ready and waiting. I'm making good progress on it, but I'm taking my time. So I'll be continuing my playthrough of Luigi's Mansion 3 this weekend. Have a read through what some of our wonderful team are up to and then let us know your plans in the comments. Now we're ready to chill out with a bit of gaming. |
